Not to mention folks fail to remember that he played his games in the cavernous cookie cutter ballparks of the day. He didn't have the luxury of hitting in these tiny bandshells that they have now. That and the turf at Olympic Stadium probably took a few years off his career. His knees were toast late in his career and Dawson still gutted out a few more quality seasons.

Matt Cain

Cain is facing the Cubs today. He's got a 3.49 ERA but his record is 3-10. 5 of those losses were outings where Cain only gave up no more than 2 runs. Talk about lack of run support. Hopefully Fat Z can shut down the G-men and the Cubs can squeak out a couple runs.
New Anthem for the Cubs

We've started a discussion over at our place about picking a possible theme song for the Cubs' possible postseason run. Feel free to stop by and give us some suggestions. We're hoping to have a good list of candidates to create a poll for tomorrow.
