So, apparently Rich Hill is really not doing any better in AAA. He got pulled after a few awful innings for a back strain? What's up with that? I think it was a sham and he just sucks lately. Any thoughts?

His baseball career eerily parallels that of a former Cub and current part time announcer...Dave Otto. They are both awkwardly tall left-handers, both wore the #53, and both had no happy medium between doing really well and horribly awful. I welcome any thoughts pertaining to the careers of either Rich Hill or Dave Otto. Both really good guys...

What's interesting about Dave Otto is his nephew went to my High school. That's my claim to fame :P I was really excited with Rich Hill 2 seasons ago as well as last year. I thought we'd have 3 go to starters at the start of this season. Didn't seem to pan out that way. Lily is finally getting around and Dempster as of now is performing well, I just thought Hill was over all this stuff and was gonna be a perennial 15 game winner like Zambrano. Maybe my hopes were too high with this guy.

Obviously you are a shill for Hill. I think he needs to find a veteran catcher to help him straighten out.

I like Soto though. We do have Henry Blanco though. Maddux loved Hank White.

I am a shill for Hill. I just think he needs to get it together and build his confidence. Hopefully he'll be back up in a month or so and will have worked it out. In the meantime, my sisters and I will be making a trip to Iowa to support some of our favorite Cubs who just can't seem to make the pre-expansion cut...Pie, Murton, Marshall and Hill. Love those guys.

Wow, that's a lot of potential regulars in Iowa. I wish we had room for Murton. He seems to be a perennial .300 hitter. Only good thing we got out of that Nomar trade. Soon he will be known as Mia Hamm's wife.

Do you think Matt Murton's pants have to be specially made to accomodate his thighs? Have you ever noticed how big his quads are? I once stood next to him in an elevator and can confirm that they are equally popping in jeans.

Haha I haven't noticed the quads. If I remember correctly he does have low hanging pants ala Ken Griffey style.

I don't think this picture completely does his legs justice, but you get the idea. Solid.

Those are pretty big indeed.

I'm glad to see Murton called up and Patterson gone. I hope everyone is taking note of the extreme circumference of his thighs. And his calves, apparently.
