What a great way to start the series. Lily pitches seven innings and gives up one run against probably the best team in the NL AND against Dan Harren. Adding on to that Soriana contributed, so much for the Cubs being swept Hardz:P I was pretty pessimistic as well. Great to see a W. Tomorrow they'll be on national tv and in HD ye ye!!

Definitely a confidence booster. Hopefully they'll build upon that win. Haha. I just wanted to throw out a couple cliches to celebrate the victory!

Lilly was definitely the star of the game, with a great pitching performance and a key RBI single. It was good to see the Cubs pull out a close one.

Wow. I definitely did not envision the Cubs sweeping the D-backs. Good for them. Try not to lose to the pathetic Padres though. Oh, and this series was hardly a revenge for what happened in the playoffs. It's the regular season. Let's get into the playoffs first.

By the way, did anyone find it odd that during the rain delay on Sunday, WGN played a game where the Reds threw a no-hitter against the Cubs? It's not exactly a proud accomplishment for the Cubs. When was the last time the Cubs threw a no-hitter?

Yea that was really weird. Those Reds jerseys were pretty goofy looking. That rain delay killed any chance of me watching the entire game. I had it dvr-ed and it stopped recording at 4-2 D-backs. It was sweet to check out espn to see they came back.
