Is it too early to be putting this out there? Well I figured someone was going to do it... why not me.
The number after Milwaukee's loss today is 9.
To those of you curious as to how I calculated it... here are 2 easy formulas.
Officially from MLB:
M = G1 + 1 - ( L2 - L1 )
Optimized:
M = 163 - W1 - L2

On PTI, a baseball reporter for the Houston Chronicle picked the Cubs to go to the World Series. Everyone seems to be jumping the gun.

What's funny is the reporter mentioned how good the bulpen is with Howry and Marmol being lights out. Kerry Wood, an arm when the lead is more than a run. Wood is in right now with a score of 13-7.

Now we can say the magic number for the Cubs is 6. Thanks Atlanta. Yes its a VERY rare occurrence in that I am thanking the Braves considering how much I hate them.

I think I'm falling in love with the ATL as well. Magic number is officially 6. I'm going to have to start rockin' my Dunston Jersey every day here in Philly...just for some extra good karma

I as well love ATL. I've previously posted how much I hate ATL but right now they are friend on the basis of the enemy of my enemy is my friend rule. Shawon reprezant!
