Jaques Jones and Daryle Ward have both stepped up in the last few games...players who usually give me that sense of impending doom when they step up to bat. They may be able to produce more than I gave them credit for. Like every other person from the south side of Chicago, I think Cliff Floyd is a great guy. But, i can't deny that he is incapable of catching a ball more than 20 feet away from him and falling over like a total douchbag. Way for his teammates to step it up in his absence :)

The great thing about this team is that there have been numerous smaller time players stepping up. Jones shouldn't be carrying a team when we have Lee and Ramirez in the lineup. Floyd has won this team a game or two, Ward has won a game. That's when you know you have something special.

I totally agree. If you look at the roster over the past season compared to what it was at the beginning of the season, no one would have predicted that it would be close to what it is now. Half of these guys were not on the roster or an afterthought. Just look at the catchers! A month ago, everyone was calling for Jones' head. I'm still waiting for Pie to hit though.
