Topic: Cubs have sole position of first.

What's crazy is that the Cubs won those two games on a couple swings of the bat.  It was an even match up, except for those couple of swings.  But yeah, like I said before, it's only a matter of time before the Cardinals pitching cools.  There's no way they can continue to win with that gross rotation.

What I loved was the ESPN crew hyping up the Cubs v Cardinals rivalry.  They were commenting how the Cards have been hot of late and how great the pitching staff is.  Great as in better than the first half.  Fact is they are still 3 games under .500, not a good stat and not a contender.  Their run differential is negative, seems very difficult to be a winning team when you can't outscore the opponent.

I know exactly how you feel.  I was laughing all the time how they were saying they played their way into the race.  If you ask me they are backing their way into the race.  Rivalry my ass... give it a few weeks and people won't even remember this blip on the map.
