What a way to start off the series. A solid outing by Rich Hill and the bulpen. Jacque Jones again proves his worth. I swear this guy is better when people hate him. Last year the fans were booing him the first month of April then ended the season with a .285 BA. He's at .276 today! What a breakout second half.

My goodnes does ESPN want the Cardinals in the playoffs. The ESPN summary is all about Rick Ankiel. Sure he did have a homerun and the Cubs were closing in on the lead but still. There were 5 runs that were scored by a guy who wasn't Rick Ankiel. It is a feel good story but at some point it's gonna get annoying.
Ted Lilly is in a funk. 2 bad outings, he's supposed to be the guy the Cubs turn to to win games. Is Marquis gonna be our leader now? We'll find out tomorrow.
Aww poor Ankiel.
