Topic: Cubs V Red

Wow, it's amazing.  We are not good!  I don't know why I thought the game was in the bag at 9-6, why I thought that I don't know.  Good news the offense is hitting, bad news we can't win a game.  We need to get out of this slump.

I agree.  It's good to see a lot more people hitting.... but what was wrong with Derrick Lee yesterday?  I don't think he showed up to play at all, both on offense and defense.  He and Aramis are our leaders.  I can't hate on Aramis... he continues to do his thang.  I have been disappointed in Zambrano in his last couple of starts.  Sure, a pitcher can't win every game, but at least give the team a good chance of producing enough runs to cover what you gave up.  He's still the man.  Hopefully he'll be back with the Cubs next year now that his price has gone up. 

Yea Lee looked horrible last night, one at bat in particular.  He bit at the first pitch and it was a crappy pitch low and away.  Nothing juicy about it.  It's funny how Aramis is almost becoming Manny Ramirez like where you just accept he'll do some stupid things like not hustle.   I forgot the stat but Marquis really does come through when we're on a losing streak.  I'll be calling him the Snapper for snapping losing streaks at least 4 days til his next start.  He's on a what have you done for me lately basis.
