Topic: Cubs v Phillies

I can see why the fans in Philly love Hamels now.  He did very well against the Cubs today.  How crazy was it for the Cubs to get burned by Rowand and Iguchi today?  It was definitely a disappointing loss.

I never even heard of Hamels until yesterday.  Then again I only pay attention to one team.  :)  Hopefully they bounce back today.

Disappointing indeed.  Especially since it was off 2 home runs.  Let's hope they can win the next few against the Phils.

A great way to win after a tough loss.  An interesting statistic.  Jason Marquis is 5-2 after a Cub loss.  Yesterday when the Cubs had the lead I was shitting a brick waiting for the game to open up with Marquis on the mound, but he did his job and won the game. 

You gotta love quotes like these.

"Everybody should get to play for the Cubs one time," catcher Jason Kendall said. "This is what baseball is all about."

Wow, you know things are going well when you win games with walk-off wild pitches.  Let's see if we can win 3 of 4 and claim first to ourselves!

That game was amazing to watch.  I couldn't leave the tv for the last several innings.  I don't remember ever seeing a game like that were so many people were on base and bases loaded that many times without any runs being scored, except for that freak wild pitch at the end to win it... wow!

Crazy how it was bases loaded in 3 consecutive half innings.  Rarely do you see that.
