Just been thinking about the trade deadline lately and the more I think about it, this could happen.  Griffey knows his time is up in Cincinnati.  He even speculated on it during his series with the Mariners.  Cincinnati is nowhere near the playoffs and could use some talent for the future.

This would immediately help out the power drought the Cubs have had as of late.  I'm sure Wrigley would also be a great fit for Griffey.  I guess the question is who could we give up?  Pie?

Not sure who we would give up.  Back to this whole Pie thing.  Is this kid ever going to pan out?  I mentioned that he could be the next Co-Pat already.  So I'm not sure if that would be a good trade or not.  Griffey's bat would be nice.  He's always had the sweetest swing in baseball.

Sad thing is Co-Pat wasn't that horrendous of a player outside of one season.  .215 Yikes.  I like this trade, as disappointed I'd be to see Pie go, seeing Griffey in a Cubs jersey would be a sight to see.  That's be one hell of an outfield with Soriano, Griffey, and Floyd and Jones platooning.  We seem to have some ok prospects I say why not.  We rarely have the opportunity to go to the playoffs let's go for broke.
